About the program

“Our Community Garden” is the response to steadily growing problem connected with lack of greenness in Polish towns. Its main goal is creating gardens by neighborhood groups, which due to their collaboration, beautify the surrounding areas as well as strengthen the relationships between themselves. We wish to provide residents with the necessary tools in order to change their environment for the better.

Thanks to “Our Community Garden” campaign, we will prove that even in heavily urbanized areas, we can be close to nature, to ourselves and enjoy it – says the Green Cross Poland founder, Dominika Kulczyk.

The key element of the campaign is the all-Poland grant program, focused on creating the community garden. Neighborhood groups involved in the program, may be able to apply for various kinds of support concerning gardening matters and building the proper neighborhood dialogue.

“Our Community Garden” project will start from the pilot program, to which 10 Polish cities were invited (Bytom, Częstochowa, Gorzów Wlkp., Kraków, Łódź, Płock, Poznań, Warszawa, Wrocław, Zabrze). First social gardens will be formed already this spring!
